Why does one write?
To express their feelings
To disappear?
Perhaps
Writing helps soothe the soul
It takes you to a whole different world
A world in which your word is law
A world that is owned by only you
Writing is no different from dreaming
A fantasy world controlled by you
Every character, object and aspect
It's all yours to control
The world is your oyster
they would say
You just need to find the pearl
This is the same premise in which a writer believes
In order to let their world unfurl.
